Staff Guide

Staff Guide

This guide covers every feature available to staff members inside the RoPerms dashboard — from moderating players to managing training sessions and investigations.

Who this guide is for

This guide is for anyone with a staff or admin membership in a RoPerms org. If you are setting up RoPerms for your Roblox game, see the Org Admin Guide instead.

What is RoPerms?#

RoPerms is a permissions, moderation, ranking, and activity dashboard for Roblox communities. It connects to your Roblox game via an in-game SDK, letting staff members manage players entirely from a web dashboard — no Roblox Studio access required.

Every action you take in the dashboard (ban, warn, promote, conclude an investigation, etc.) is forwarded to the game in real time and written to an audit log.

Getting access#

Logging in

RoPerms uses Roblox as its identity provider. Click Sign in with Roblox on the landing page and authorise the app. You will be redirected back to the dashboard automatically. No password to create or remember.

Finding your organisation

After login you land on the org selector. Any org you have been added to appears here as a card. Click one to enter its dashboard. Your org admin must add you before the org appears — contact them if it is missing.

Active Leave of Absence

If you have an active LoA the dashboard will show a lock screen instead of the normal navigation. You can still request extensions or view the LoA details; all other features are locked until the LoA ends or is cancelled.

Roles & capabilities#

There are two membership roles inside an org:

  • Org Admin — full access to everything, including settings, department management, and super-level moderation actions.
  • Staff — access is determined by the capabilities assigned to your department(s). You will only see navigation items that you have permission to use.

Capabilities are bundled into Departments. Your org admin assigns you to one or more departments, and their combined capabilities determine what you can do. Examples: a Moderator department might grant ban and kick access, while a Trainer department grants session-hosting permissions.

The sidebar on the left is your primary navigation. Each section corresponds to a feature area. Badge counts appear on Modcalls and Investigations when there are unresolved items waiting for attention.

  • Home — at-a-glance stats and recent audit activity.
  • Users — search any player by username or Roblox ID.
  • Modcalls — live queue of in-game moderation requests.
  • Logbook — human-readable audit feed with card view.
  • Audit — full audit table with filters.
  • Activity — play-session heatmap and server overview.
  • Leaderboard — playtime rankings.
  • Permissions — game permission definitions and assignments.
  • Sessions — training session board and runner.
  • Investigations — private case files.
  • Team — view staff list and department assignments.
  • LoA — leave of absence management.
  • Payments — Robux payment link management.
  • Settings — (admin-only) org configuration.
