Staff Guide

Dashboard Tour

A walkthrough of the org home page, stat cards, user search, and the sidebar navigation you will use every day.

Home page stats#

The home page shows a summary of your org at a glance. Each stat card updates from live database queries on every page load.

  • Permissions — total number of permission types defined in this org.
  • Permission Assignments — how many player–permission pairs are currently active.
  • Active Bans — players currently banned (unexpired or permanent).
  • Staff Members — members of the org with any role.
  • Pending Modcalls — shows only if you have the modcalls.handle capability.
  • 24 h Chat Volume — chat messages logged by the SDK in the last 24 hours.
  • Weekly Activity — a sparkline showing join count per day over the past 7 days.

Recent audit log#

Below the stats, the home page shows the six most recent audit entries for the org. Each entry shows the actor, action, and when it happened. Click View all to open the full audit table.

The Users section in the sidebar lets you look up any player. Search by Roblox username or numeric user ID. The profile page shows:

  • Identity — avatar thumbnail, username, user ID, and join date.
  • Moderation history — all bans, kicks, warnings, and punishments (toolbans, chatbans, modcallbans).
  • Permissions — all game permissions currently assigned, with attributes.
  • Activity — play-session history and an activity heatmap.
  • Geolocation — country/region reported by the SDK (if enabled by admin).
  • Chatlogs — messages sent in-game (if chat logging is enabled).

Classified records

Bans and punishments tied to an active Investigation are marked as classified. Their reason and attachments are hidden from staff members who are not part of that specific investigation. Org admins and holders of the investigations.bypass capability can always see them.

Badge counters

Two navigation items show live badge counts so you always know when action is needed:

  • Modcalls — shows the number of PENDING modcalls in the queue. This badge appears if you have the modcalls.handle capability.
  • Investigations — shows open investigations you are a participant in.
  • Orders — shows pending orders awaiting fulfilment (if payments are enabled).

Org branding

The top of the sidebar displays your org's logo and name. The sidebar accent bar and button styles use your org's brand colours rather than the default violet, giving each org a distinct feel. Brand colours are configured by your org admin in Settings.

Audit log & logbook#

There are two views of the audit history:

  • Logbook — a card-based feed with human-readable descriptions, grouped by day. Best for a quick narrative of recent activity.
  • Audit — a filterable table with raw action strings, actor IDs, and timestamps. Best for searching specific events or exporting data.

Both views update in real time as actions are taken by you or other staff members.

Theme & settings#

RoPerms uses a fixed dark theme. There is no light mode. Sound effects for notifications can be toggled with the speaker icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard — this preference is saved per browser.
