Staff Guide

Modcall Queue

Modcalls are in-game help requests submitted by players. The queue lets staff view, claim, and resolve them from the dashboard in real time.

Required capability

You need the modcalls.handle capability to view and interact with the modcall queue.

What is a modcall?#

A modcall is a request for moderator assistance raised by a player inside your Roblox experience. When a player types the modcall command (configured by your admin — usually /modcall [reason]), an entry is created in the RoPerms queue and the badge counter on the dashboard sidebar increments.

Modcalls include the player's username, their reason text, the server job ID they are in, and the timestamp.

Viewing the queue#

Click Modcalls in the sidebar. The page shows all pending calls, oldest first. Each card displays:

  • Player avatar and username (links to their profile).
  • The reason the player provided.
  • The server job ID (so you can join their server).
  • How long ago the call was submitted.

Claiming a modcall#

Click Claim on a modcall card to assign it to yourself. This marks the call as IN PROGRESS and shows your name as the handler. Other staff can see the call is claimed and should not duplicate effort.

Once claimed, join the player's server (use the job ID to find the correct instance), handle the situation in-game, and return to the dashboard to close the call.

Closing a modcall#

After handling the situation, click Close on the claimed call. You can optionally add a note describing the outcome. The call moves to CLOSED status and is removed from the active queue. The record is still visible in the audit log.

Closing without joining

If the issue was resolved remotely (for example, a ban issued from the dashboard that automatically kicked the player), you can close the modcall immediately without joining in-game.

Modcall ban#

Players who repeatedly misuse the modcall system can be given a modcall ban from their profile page. While active, the SDK will reject their modcall submissions. See the Bans, Kicks & Warnings page for details on how to issue one.

Modcall notifications#

The sidebar badge updates automatically whenever new modcalls arrive. If sound effects are enabled (toggle in the top bar), a notification sound plays when a new call comes in. Keep the dashboard open in a pinned tab while you are on moderation duty.

Best practice

Claim a modcall before joining the server so other staff know it is being handled. If you cannot resolve it, un-claim it so someone else can pick it up.
